Are you 55+ years young and wanting to get active?  Join us for JOY.

Several weeks ago we launched our JOY classes at Samford .  These classes are low to moderate intensity only, focus on issues such as balance, flexibility, range of movement (the ability to raise your arm above your head, for example) and strength.
JOY is an acronym for Just Older Youth as I have an aversion to the use of the word “seniors”.

We DO NOT drop to the floor and do 50 burpees.
We DO NOT drop to the floor and do 30 push ups.
We DO HAVE FUN warming up to daggy 70s disco or 60s rock music and occasionally there may be daggy dance moves to match the music theme of the day.

So if you’re interested or know of anyone in the Samford region wanting to get back into exercise and who wants to be surrounded by other like minded individuals who enjoy a laugh and some daggy music while getting back into a fun fitness program,  come along to JOY on Monday’s at 9.30am at the Samford CWA hall.

You’ll be met with open arms, smiles and will be guaranteed an good time in good company.
